Michael Shook
Chief Operations Officer
Michael Shook, P.E., is co-founder of Agri-Process Innovations, a Stuttgart-based company that provides engineering and technical support for the agricultural and food-processing industries. Shook, who earned his engineering degree from the University of Arkansas’ Department of Agricultural Engineering, started the company in 2000 with co-founder Steve Danforth.
Before opening his own company, Shook spent 17 years with Riceland, serving the last 10 years as the company’s vice president of operations and engineering. He oversaw nine manufacturing facilities and nearly 1,400 employees during his time with Riceland.
Shook is active with the University of Arkansas Bio and Ag Engineering Advisory Board. He has served as an adviser to the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board and as a member of the board of directors for Rice Belt VoTech School and the Arkansas Environmental Federation. He is a past member of the technical committee for the National Oilseeds Processors Association.
He is a member of the American Oil Chemist Society, International Oil Mill Superintendents Association, National Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Agricultural Engineers.
